    Peak Performers is looking for motivated and detail-oriented individualfor one of the largest State agencies in Texas.

    In this position you will in the Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) Division, providing essential support services, ensuring efficient records maintenance, storage, and destruction operations.


    Who you will be working with:

    Always at the ready, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is responsible for providing millions of Texans with services ranging from Medicaid for children to SNAP food benefits to behavioral health services every year.

    HHSC does substantial work in accommodating the long-term needs of older Texans by ensuring the safety and dignity of people who live in nursing homes or assisted living facilities, finding independent housing and jobs for Texans with disabilities, and leading medical research projects on infectious diseases.

    HHSC works to make all Texans safer.

    Job Scope:


    Prepare files for records storage and destruction, including retrieving files from shelves and filing cabinets, creating file inventory lists, boxing, labeling, and organizing boxes on pallets in staging areas for transfer or disposal of records.

    Assist in conducting the annual quality review for PCS records stored off-site to ensure compliance with established standards.

    Process the intake of procurement files submitted for storage, including physically receiving files, verifying the accuracy of the file inventory sheet, recording receipt into the CFR Master Inventory file in SharePoint, and sending confirmation emails to stakeholders.

    Collaborate with team members to update tracking logs, maintain records, and respond to staff inquiries about records storage.

    Use office machines and computer software applications, such as Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams, to perform daily tasks.

    Conduct data entry and research activities as required, collecting, analyzing, and interpreting technical information to support decision-making processes.
    Demonstrate strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all records management tasks.
    Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and requests from staff members.
    Work independently with limited supervision, effectively managing time and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
    Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and records.
    Knowledge of office practices and administrative procedures.
    Proficiency in using office machines/equipment and computer applications, including Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams
    Basic understanding of data entry and research processes.
    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
    Ability to interpret policies and procedures and follow instructions accurately.
    Physically capable of lifting and/or moving filing boxes & folders (can be up to 30 pounds.)
    Ability to bend, stand, and/or sit at a computer for extended periods.
