- Register with the state board of pharmacy as a supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies to maintain the pharmacy's good standing.
- Oversee the entire operation of the pharmacy department to achieve financial goals, including budget management, payroll, thirdparty administration, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Actively participate in business development activities both within the store and the community.
- Manage pharmacy support personnel, including performance evaluation and training.
- Provide guidance and training to pharmacy associates, ensuring adherence to regulatory and company policies.
- Ensure completion of all required company training by pharmacy associates.
- Participate in patientcentered services such as immunization, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and wellness programs.
- Counsel patients and medical providers on drug usage, dosage, interactions, and side effects, and monitor patient health and progress to optimize therapies.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement programs to enhance patient safety.
- Exercise professional judgment to deliver exemplary service within the pharmacist's scope of practice.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and department facilities in accordance with legal and company standards.
- Fulfill continuing education requirements as mandated by state law.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Valid Vermont pharmacist license.
- Immunization certification (Required).
- Comfortable administering all vaccines (Required).
