    The Accounting Intern will be assigned to a functional Team Manager and an internship mentor. Work performed will be hands on, may contribute to a project as a whole, but does not directly impact the outcome.

    At the conclusion of the internship, the intern will have a clear understanding of how their studies directly contribute to their course of study and the medical device industry.

    This is a part-time summer internship position (less than 30hrs a week), working with the Accounting Team at Kestra.

    Requirements

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Projects: Assist Team with monthly A/P and travel expense recordation, assist with annual audit, support system automation efforts, monthly financial reporting, and other projects as needed
    • Project Presentation: At internship end, present learnings from experience to the Accounting Team and Kestra Executive Leadership

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education/Experience Required:

    • 2+ years in an Undergraduate degree program focusing on Accounting
    • Strong desire to learn

    Preferred:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
    • Basic understanding of financial statements

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • Indoor open office environment
    • Minimal noise volume typical to an office environment
    • Extended/overtime hours when needed
    • Drug-free

    INTERNSHIP ELIGIBILITY:

    • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past 6 months
    • Must not have completed one year of continual employment with Kestra Medical Technologies
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
    • Must provide own transportation to/from work
    • Must successful complete and pass a criminal and employment background screening that meets the allowable FDA requirements and is in accordance with EEOC rules and regulations
    • Must successfully pass a pre-internship drug screen

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Frequent repetitive motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers, such as keyboard and mouse usage
    • Frequent stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time
    • Frequent computers use
    • Frequent phone and other business machine use
    • Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds

    TRAVEL:

    • Occasional travel, domestic and international, may be required, less than 10%

    Pay: $22.50/hour
