    Overview

    The primary responsibility of the Wealth RPS Account Manager is to provide comprehensive support to the Wealth RPS Relationship Managers and their Manager along with RPS Clients and their participants in the day to day service activities of account relationships. Effectively, the Account Manager position is an "in-house relationship manager" quarterbacking client responses in the absence of and at the direction of the RPS Relationship Manager. The position is also responsible for delivering a high degree of business professionalism as a client-facing day to day contact for RPS clients and participants; responding to routine and complex business, plan, and service questions. Additionally, the position also supports the needs of the business in managing daily tasks and workflow, proactively managing annual plan administration activities, assisting with sales and business development activities, and assigned projects under the direction of the Wealth RPS Relationship Managers and the Wealth RPS Service Manager.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Position Specific Responsibilities

  • Core business understanding of Wealth RPS business and services to proactively support the Wealth RPS Relationship Managers, clients and their participants throughout the processes of client conversion, maintenance, and communication.
  • Understanding and ability to articulate full scope of JFG products and services.
  • Independently handles a wide variety of situations and assignments that are non-routine, under limited supervision.
  • Serves as a day to day contact and consultant to RPS clients and participants (as a secondary point of contact beyond the call center) on plan matters and questions. Researches and assists in resolving client inquiries and issues through to resolution involving plan document provisions, impact of regulatory requirements on plan operations; displays initiative to problem solve and escalate when appropriate, ability to work independently.
  • Prepares and composes sales presentations, client fiduciary and service reviews, and participant communication materials under the direction of their manager and Wealth RPS Relationship Managers.
  • Manages annual and ad hoc plan administration workflows (annual census and testing cycle, Form 5500 filing, external audit support, fund changes, plan amendments, Notice requirements, etc.)
  • Creates and maintains plan documents and participant forms ensuring conformity with plan features and investment offerings.
  • Composes correspondence, responsible for review, disbursement and follow-up, and updating of required reports (non-approved asset reports, outstanding check reports, compliance notifications, etc.)
  • Actively manages inherent risk by adhering to internal policies and procedures, regulatory and statutory requirements and exercising sound judgment. Maintains client and plan files to meet compliance requirements and regulatory standards, within the context of JFG's document management and retention policies.
  • Actively engaged in the client on-boarding conversion process through document completion and coordination with external providers. Responsible for accurately opening and closing of accounts within Wealth RPS operating systems; processes non-Recordkeeping transactions and maintains account characteristics on Wealth RPS operating systems.
  • Actively participates in, and dependent upon the level of the incumbent, lead project work to improve approaches in the internal administration of client facing activities to develop efficiencies, improve service offerings and identify best practices. Some of these activities may be dependent upon regulatory promulgations or internal service requirements.
  • Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and with minimum 3 years' experience in the financial services industry and/or Wealth RPS. Work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; proven interpersonal, organizational, analytical and follow up skills. Displays initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrates discretion; handles confidential data and information appropriately.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite of products, Wealth RPS operating systems, and bank operating systems.
  • Broad understanding of ERISA qualified plan management and administration.
  • Experienced Wealth RPS Account Managers will also have in-depth knowledge of ERISA regulations, compliance, and a high level of comfort and familiarity with applicable fiduciary standards.
  • Pursuit of industry specific professional certifications are encouraged;RPA, CEBS, ASPPA, CRPS
