    Job DescriptionWho We Are

Woodruff Sawyer has been an industry leader for over 100 years. As a top insurance brokerage, our clients range from small start-ups to some of the most innovative companies in the world. Here, your unique expertise and perspective helps move companies ahead and your career forward.

As an employee-owned company, we build toward the next decade, not just the next quarter. Our independence means you answer to great ideas and client success, not short-term profits, while our ESOP program allows you to build long-term wealth and ownership in the company. At Woodruff Sawyer, you own your future.

    About the Role

As an Account Manager at Woodruff Sawyer, you will play a pivotal role in the placement, renewal, and overall service of new and existing clients. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a world-class company and make a significant impact in the Employee Benefits Practice.

    • Take responsibility for an assigned book of business, ensuring a well-balanced mix of revenue and complexity.
    • Stay up to date with legislation and compliance affecting your assigned book of business, having the ability to effectively communicate these details to clients.
    • Collaborate with Account Representatives, Account Coordinators, and Account Executives, and confidently work directly with a Producer when necessary.
    • Develop and present client materials, actively engage in client presentations, and contribute to the planning process.
    • Assist clients and their employees with elevated issues and questions, such as claims.
    • Create and deliver client deliverables with exceptional accuracy.
    • Engage in presentations to clients, demonstrating thoroughness, accuracy, and exceptional communication skills to address questions or concerns.
    • Handle complex and detailed issues efficiently and effectively, taking full ownership of problem-solving until resolution.
    • Maintain professional and diplomatic communication with vendors, clients, and colleagues.
    • Lead the Marketing and/or Renewal process, analyzing proposals/quotes, negotiating changes, and making recommendations to clients.
    • Contribute to the delivery of strategic overviews on accounts, arranging strategy meetings, gathering relevant information, and reviewing client needs.
    • Build positive relationships with clients, carriers, and team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
    • Ensure timely contract review and delivery.

This job is for you if...

    • You proactively and effectively manage and service clients, consistently meeting their needs, timelines, and expectations.
    • You have exceptional organizational skills and have no problem delegating tasks.
    • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to clearly interpret and convey information to clients and colleagues.
    • You excel at building relationships, maintaining professionalism, and thriving in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
    • You are skilled at finding solutions to client issues, proactively overcoming barriers, and delivering exceptional results.
    • You have a passion for coaching and developing team members, serving as a positive role model, and contributing to team skill development.
    • You are committed to driving the team strategy related to client service and skill enhancement.
    • You enjoy visiting clients in person.

    Experience & Qualifications

    • Preferred college degree; high school diploma, or equivalent experience required.
    • Minimum of five years of industry experience.
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and In-Design.
    • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

    • Life, Accident, and Health license required upon hire or within 3 months of obtaining the position.
    • Valid driver's license.

You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
