    Responsibilities:

    The IT Procurement Specialist will be responsible for:

    Responsible for scanning all current and new contracts in Ironclad, for the aide and assistance of IT Indirect Procurement Manager

    Responsible for assisting with the procurement process, including contract management, contract negotiation, and preparation of purchase orders.

    Ensuring that our commitments to customers and suppliers are met.

    Obtain price quotes for goods items and process formal proposals

    Generate purchase orders (PO's). Verify quoted prices when generating a PO for any item, including reordering

    Expedite orders, manage the status of purchasing needs for stock items and exterior materials

    Assist the Indirect Procurement Manager in finding and achieving cost savings through sourcing new suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors

    Maintain vendor database and set up local vendors as needed. Use preferred vendors as often as possible

    Update new prices in the system and PO's, formal proposals, and any pertinent information

    Maintain open lines of communication by establishing and building relationships with internal and external customers, including middle and upper management. Communicating new items and discontinued items across all company teams

    Review product specifications, maintaining a working knowledge of goods or services to be purchased

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field

    2-3 years experience in a purchasing role

    Prior experience in a related industry is a plus in Manufacturing and coatings

    Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar procurement role

    Experience with working with Ironclad, our contract management tool is preferred.

    Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends

    Strong negotiation and analytical skills

    Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook with data entry capabilities. Experience in Ironclad a plus

    Strong verbal and written communication skills; solid basic math skills

    Highly organized and detail-oriented

    Ability to handle multiple procurement requests concurrently and on an ongoing basis

    Ability to Work independently in a fast-paced environment. Solid judgment with the ability to make good decisions and work well with other organizations

    Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate rapidly changing needs of a growing organization
