- Operate the LabVantage Laboratory Inventory Management System (LIMS) to manage all sample handling activities, safeguarding the chain of custody and maintaining rigorous audit trails.
- Efficiently process biospecimen shipments, meticulously documenting and promptly reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Employ advanced robotics and automation technology to accurately reformat and store biospecimens.
- Collaborate effectively with researchers, clinicians, and various stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of biospecimen shipments as needed.
- Maintain biospecimens at specified temperatures, from room temperature to ultra-cold conditions, adhering to material-specific SOPs.
- Contribute to the creation of training documentation and provide guidance to newer team members as they acclimate to our processes.
- Adhere to GLP/GCLP guidelines, regulatory mandates, and safety protocols, maintaining a safe and compliant laboratory environment.
- Be prepared to work flexible hours to accommodate the operational demands of the biobank, which may include evening and weekend shifts.
- Take on additional responsibilities as necessary to support the team and the biobank's objectives. Heres What Youll Bring to the Table:
- High School diploma with 4 years or Associate Degree with 2 years relevant work experience in a laboratory or sample storage setting.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience that provide the required knowledge and skills may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience with biospecimen lifecycle management and proficiency in the use of LIMS, with LabVantage experience being a plus.
- The ability to consistently perform tasks with a high level of accuracy, learn new procedures, follow detailed instructions, and comply with safety protocols.
