    Position Overview:

    The SecondaryMarket Director is responsible for driving the strategy and execution forselling loans originated by the Residential Lending team into the SecondaryMarket as well as driving product structure and pricing on portfolioloans.The position plays a criticalrole in managing relationships with investors for loans sold in the SecondaryMarket and is instrumental in developing new products and services to adapt tothe competitive landscape, thereby boosting net interest and non-interestincomeThis position will drive thepricing strategy for all products and collaborate with other departments on theoverarching product and pricing strategy for all Consumer Real Estate products.

    Essential Functions:
    • Manage and nurture investor relationships for Secondary Market loan sales, ensuring profitability and compliance with relevant policies.
    • Lead the design and introduction of innovative mortgage products for both portfolio loans and secondary market loans, responding to balance sheet strategies, market dynamics and customer needs.
    • Responsibility for ensuring all residential lending products achieve the profitability targets and risk profile within bank guidelines while remaining competitive in our markets.
    • Managerial responsibility for pricing, lock desk and post-closing functions, as well as preparing required investor documentation.
    • Monitor industry trends and competitive practices, recommending strategies to enhance product value and service excellence.
    • Coordinates with Sales and Operations to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, banking regulations and investor requirements.
    • Collaborate with Finance to ensure pricing includes the appropriate value for Mortgage Servicing Rights on all loans sold servicing retained.
    • Collaborate with Finance on pricing strategy and governance for both portfolio and secondary market products.
    • Increase pricing sophistication to ensure best execution and optimize profitability within the Bank's established risk parameters.
    • Actively participate in business development, community events, and represent the bank in various forums to enhance its market presence. Supports Bank CRA goals for lending and community activity.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team, ensuring effective succession planning.
    • Helping the sales team support the products through education and collateral creation.
    • Meet and maintain financial responsibility, character, and general fitness standards along with all other established requirements for an individual Loan Originator (LO) in accordance with Regulation Z.
    • This position may require travel within the Bank's geographic area.
    Experience & Education:
    • Minimum 5 years'progressive experience in Capital Markets or Secondary Marketing in a Bank,Credit Union or Mortgage Lender.
    • Demonstratedability to manage goals and initiatives in a matrix environment,collaborating across multiple departments on initiatives and strategies.
    • Provenexperience in managing multiple investor relationships, including bothservicing-released and servicing retained investors.
    • Experiencepricing loans for the Secondary Market.
    • Experienceworking with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, GNMA, and other private investors.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business,Marketing, or a related field, with an MBA being highly preferred.
    Skills & Qualifications:
    • In-depth understanding of mortgage lending processes, including origination, pricing, and secondary markets.
    • Demonstrated finance and data analysis skills.
    • Strong business development and relationship management skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Proven leadership capabilities with a history of driving department growth.
    • Strategic thinking and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
    • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
    • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies.
    • Ability to collaborate in a matrix environment, working across departments to achieve both Bank and department goals.
    • Familiarity with mortgage-related regulatory and compliance standards and credit policy.
    Other Requirements:
    • Registration and maintenance of registry as a Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and Registry, in compliance with the S.A.F.E. Act.
    • Demonstrated ability to adhere to financial responsibility, character, and general fitness standards as per Regulation Z.
