    The Anesthesiologist will administer anesthetics to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The Anesthesiologist will work in a Care Team Model supervising CRNA's and CAA's. All Anesthesiologists must be able to personally perform cases when needed.

    Job Type: Full Time, Salary-exempt. This is a partnership-track role that includes a generous compensation and benefits package with additional amenities.

    Role Snapshot:

    • Practice in collaboration with a variety of healthcare providers to deliver high-quality, evidence-based anesthesia care services.
    • Meet and examine patients preoperatively. Evaluate patients' vital signs, medical histories, allergies, current medication use, and other risk factors.
    • Develop and implement an anesthesia care plan.
    • Select, obtain, prepare, and use equipment, invasive and non-invasive monitors, supplies, and drugs for the administration of anesthesia.
    • Perform all aspects of airway management.
    • Manage medical complications during surgery.
    • Facilitate emergence and recovery from anesthesia by evaluating patient response, and selecting and administering medications, fluids, and ventilator support to maintain patient stability during transfer.
    • Monitor patient vital signs and pain management postoperatively.
    • Oversee Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA's) and Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAA's) in a 1:4 ratio.
    • Support and prioritize patient safety.
    • Participate in required educational programs and monthly departmental meetings.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Degree in Medicine with completion of a 4-year residency in Anesthesiology.
    • Active Board Certification (or Board Eligibility) from the American Board of Anesthesiology.
    • Holds current active licensure as an MD or DO in the state of Ohio and complies with any applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements concerning Anesthesiologists.
    • Provide proof of prior valid professional liability insurance coverage if applicable.
    • Must possess active DEA License.
    • Have and maintain current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
    • Demonstrates current competency in the clinical responsibilities for which the candidate is applying.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of standing and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.

    Work Location(s): We offer services to the following outpatient surgery centers- Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital, Oasis Surgery Center, and Ohio Specialty Surgical Suites.
