- Train and supervise clinical staff to ensure the back office runs efficiently and effectively, and clinical policies and procedures are followed. - Ensure the office is appropriately staffed when employees are out.
- Manage EMR templates- making edits as necessary and creating new ones as needed with physician input.
- Complete the clinical schedule weekly for the following week to ensure appropriate coverage for physicians in the office.
- Monitor phone nurses to ensure appropriate documentation of phone calls, and advice given. Assist and retrain when necessary.
- Maintain lab equipment to ensure leases are maximized and equipment is in working order. Negotiate contracts for new equipment.
- Manage medical supplies, vaccines, and other pharmacies to ensure appropriate levels.
- Ensure the office meets OSHA standards and performs annual training. Attend annual training to keep current on any changes.
- Monitor clinical staff compliance with both clinical and personnel policies and procedures.
- Monitor and assist with updating all policies and procedures for the office as needed.
- Conducts the monthly physician meeting with the Practice Administrator.
- Act as a public relations agent for the practice and physicians when dealing with patients, parents, and vendors, promoting a feeling of cooperation and concern.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Physicians.
- Reliability and dependability to perform required tasks daily.
- Computer skills sufficient to use Greenway Prime Suite, Internet, etc. as required by the job description (above).
- Ability to follow established policy uniformly to ensure standardized records and procedures.
- Interpersonal skills to deal with a variety of patients and caregivers.
- Attention to detail in ensuring accuracy and completeness of patient information (immunizations, required forms), reviewing patient charts for completeness (procedures performed, dictation filed, etc), and arranging patient charts in proper order.
- 1+ year of Pediatrics Experience.
- 3 years of Management/leadership Experience Preferred.
- 3+ years of Nursing Experience Required
