    Editorial Assistant - Remote

    Pay Rate: $23.33/hr.

    - 100% Remote

    - Open to candidates in EST and CST time zones

    - Short-term role (temporary replacement for an employee on maternity leave)

    - 35 hours/week

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    - The role provides administrative support to the Publisher of the journal: Medicine.

    - Responsibilities include fulfilling tasks in the submission system (Editorial Manager) such as assigning Editors to papers;

    enabling articles to move to the next stage; inviting reviewers; removing unresponsive Editors; inviting new Editors to join

    the Editorial Board.

    - Experience working as an Editorial Assistant for an academic journal preferred.

    - 12 months experience in an STM Journal Editorial Office setting or similar preferred.

    - Experience of working in Aries Editorial Manger submission system an advantage.
