Compensation & Incentives

- Base Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 annually

- Bonus Structure:
? Productivity bonus based on work RVUs (wRVUs).
? Additional incentives tied to patient outcomes and 360° feedback.

- Earning Potential: Highly productive and experienced APPs can achieve compensation well above health-system averages over time.

- Relocation Allowance: Up to $3,000.

Requirements

Role Requirements

- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of Colorado.

- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program

- Valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, preferred

Role Responsibilities

- First assist in hand and upper extremity surgeries.

- Outpatient clinic: new patient evaluation, follow-ups, and procedures (casting, splinting, injections, small bedside procedures).

- Collaborative care with surgeons, therapists, and staff.

- No required weekend responsibilities.

- Rare inpatient rounding occurs only within normal clinical hours.

Call Responsibilities

- No surgical call duties within the Hand and Upper Extremity practice.

- Participation in the group's shared phone-only triage call rotation is required:
? Call is paid separately.
? Frequency is limited, and shifts may be traded.
? APPs are responsible for arranging coverage if unable to take a scheduled call.

Schedule

- Full-time, 40-50 hours per week split between clinic and OR.

- Hours vary by surgical schedule and clinic volume

- No weekends. No evening call.

Time Off & Professional Leave

- Time off: 3 weeks (15 business days) paid annually, with potential for additional time with longevity in practice.

- Holidays: 7 paid holidays.

- Paid Closure Days: Additional paid days annually when the practice is closed (aligned with surgeon vacation; typically announced in advance and often create long weekends).

- CME Stipend: up to $1,500 annually, with dues paid for one professional society and licensing fully covered.

Physical Requirements

• Varied activities including sitting, standing, walking, stooping, lifting, bending, and reaching.
• Physical stamina for frequent walking standing, lifting and positioning of patients.
• Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making necessary patient transfers and helping patients with walking, dressing, etc. Requires full range of motion in all extremities, neck and back, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination.
• Mobility and visual manual dexterity
• Occasional stress from workload and dealing with tense patients.
• Must be able to use a variety of office equipment including phone, copy machine, writing instruments, PC, fax and medical equipment including stethoscope, ECG, blood pressure cuff, and cast saw equipment.
