Responsibilities
- Conduct locomotive mechanical and electrical maintenance repairs and troubleshooting to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Inspect maintain and repair diesel engines air brake systems electrical components and running gear
- Perform periodic inspections interpret oil sample results weld use cutting torches to repair or modify locomotive equipment conduct daily inspections servicing of locomotives support transportation maintenance operations as needed maintain compliance with all railroad safety regulatory requirements
