This is a full-time awake overnight position in Malvern IA every other Saturday 8pm-8am every Sunday 8pm-8am every other Monday and Tuesday 10pm-8am The Supported Community Living Specialist SCLS will teach train and assist individuals in developing skills necessary to be as independent as possible when performing activities of daily living such as coordinating health and medical needs training individuals to take care of their own health and medical needs developing maintaining skills allowing for better participation in the community assisting individuals served in becoming independent in accessing community services assisting the individuals with participation in at least one community activity each week if shift is during day evening weekend hoursResponsibilities
- The SCLS will teach train and assist individuals in developing skills necessary to be as independent as possible when performing activities of daily living these include but are not limited to coordinating health and medical needs training individuals to take care of their own health medical needs developing maintaining skills allowing for better participation in the community assisting individuals served becoming independent accessing community services participating at least one community activity week shift day evening weekend hours providing supportive therapeutic atmosphere supervising individual goals completing data related running those goals supervising finances guidance budgeting personal desires remaining awake ensure welfare safety persons residential setting complying state federal regulations HIPAA Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act cleaning biological fluids waste blood feces urine vomit demonstrating ability perform routine household tasks vacuuming mopping use cleaning agents meal preparation kitchen clean clothing care making multiple trips car house carrying purchases groceries etc snow removal much necessary individual staff safety.
