Job Overview
Description
We seek a Licensed Psychologist to conduct medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
While conducting Disability Assessments, you will electronically review behavioral health records through a secure Web Portal and conduct a thorough assessment in person with each Veteran.
You will also fill out Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) via the Web Portal.
The Licensed Psychologist DOES NOT make disability determinations. The U.S. Veterans Administration is responsible for all disability determinations, partly based on the findings documented in the DBQs.
This role SOLELY focuses on Disability Assessments for Veterans. It does not involve treatment or medication prescription.
The Licensed Psychologist will evaluate and assess an average of 3 (sometimes 4) Veterans per day.
The Licensed Psychologist will be engaged as an Independent Contractor.
Schedule: 5 days/week (8 am-5 pm) - Part-time availability also considered
This position requires IN-PERSON presence.
