    Job DescriptionDescription:

    Scott County Hospital, located in Scott City, KS, is seeking a qualified Director of Nursing, for our hospital facility. We are a family-orientated team who are committed to providing the level of care that truly makes a positive difference. We are looking for someone who is determined and dedicated to providing patients with the best treatment experience and someone ready to help grow our hospital and the field of nursing.     **$7000 Sign-On Bonus**

    Director of Nursing Responsibilities:

    • Develop, maintain, implement, and communicate nursing policies and procedures that conform to current standards of nursing practice, facility philosophy, and operational policies.
    • Evaluates the work performance of all nursing personnel, assist in the determination of wage increases, and implement discipline according to operational policies.
    • Oversees nursing schedules and recruitment of nursing personnel
    • Monitors staff for compliance with OSHA mandates and facility policies on workplace safety
    • Communicates directly with physicians, patients, families, medical staff, nursing staff, interdisciplinary team members, and supervisors to coordinate care and services for best patient outcomes.
    • Acts in an administrative capacity in the absence of the Chief Nursing Officer.

    Requirements:
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
    • Master of Science in nursing preferred
    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Kansas
    • Five years of nursing practice experience
    • Management experience preferred
