    As the Environmental, Health & Safety Intern at Markem-Imaje, you will be working both as part of a team and independently ensuring compliance to EHS related regulations and minimizing risks for our employees and the environment. You'll have an opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects while developing your natural talent as it relates to the EHS field. These activities are targeted to support the design and manufacture of printers and consumables for the marking and coding industry at Markem-Imaje's Keene site.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Helps EHS team to maintain full compliance with all applicable EHS federal, state and local legislative requirements

    • Maintains a safe and hazard-free working environment

    • Conducts EHS audits of people, facilities, process, and equipment on a regular basis

    • Assists and helps implement programs to improve environmental and safety performance

    • Assists with incident root cause and corrective/preventive action program

    • Drives and participates in change management process to identify and reduce EHS risk of new processes, equipment, and other related changes

    • Assists EHS team with developing and providing EHS related training

    • Assists the site with the EHS related day-to-day activities

    • Ensures accurate recordkeeping regarding EHS regulations

    • Assists and drives EHS Management system (certified to both ISO 14001 and 45001)

    Job Requirements:

    • Currently enrolled in a college/university pursuing an EHS related degree.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Ability to work in both a team environment and independently

    • Able to manage a variety of tasks

    • Dependable, able to build trust throughout the organization

    • High energy; tenacious

    • Problem solving skills
