    Description
    Location: Approximately 12 miles from downtown Chicago

    Facility:
    • A quaternary care facility with 547 licensed beds, a Level I Trauma Center, nationally recognized Burn Center, renowned Transplant Center and a special 20-bed unit for patients undergoing stem cell transplant. The center provides top hospital care in all medical specialties, including orthopedics, nephrology, cardiology, cancer, ophthalmology and surgery.

    Opportunity:
    • The candidate will join a growing Radiology Department of over 50 subspecialized radiologists supporting clinical services, and associated ambulatory care centers.
    • Candidates must be Board Certified in Radiology and fellowship-trained in Musculoskeletal Radiology (MSK)
    • Exhibit strong clinical skills to work effectively and efficiently across the full spectrum of imaging modalities/procedures relevant to MSK imaging.
    • This is an on-site position with participation in interventional procedures including MRI, CT, joint injection/aspiration, bone marrow sampling, and soft tissue/bone biopsy
    • Practice setting is hospital-based
    • RVU expectation
    • 5-90% plain film, 10-15% CT/MR
    • 2 Types of Call: Weekday 4pm-11pm call from home (only with no day shifts on those days) about on average once a week. Also, weekend call about 7 calls per year.
    • Intermittent evening shift and weekend call duties are fulfilled remotely from home with fully functional PACS/Voice recognition systems.
    • In addition to clinical work, strong interest in clinical and formal resident education is essential.
    • Average Number of Cases Per Day: Mix plain film and cross sectional. 110 xrays, 20 MRIs/CT/Ultrasound
    • Number of Radiologists in Practice: Specific to MSK is 4.8 FTEs, in department 41 FTE
    • Teleradiology is not used for MSK
    • Patient Age Demographic: All ages, but pediatrics not required
    • There are opportunities for clinical and translational research if interested.
    • Consideration may be given for appointment as Section Chief for the appropriate candidate.
    • EMR: Epic, Powerscribe 360, Interad PACs, Softek Illuminate
    • Credentialing timeline: usually 2-3 months (depends on if physician has IL license in hand or not)
