    6-month contract with potential for conversion to permanent hire

    Overview:

    We are seeking a seasoned Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer/Architect to join our team on a contract basis. This is a crucial backfill position that not only supports ongoing maintenance and operational activities within our BI platforms but also contributes to the design and implementation of innovative solutions for both operations and projects. The ideal candidate will be a pivotal player in ensuring the continuous functionality and advancement of our BI capabilities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and enhance existing BI solutions that support day-to-day operations.
    • Design and develop robust BI architecture for various projects, integrating new technologies and frameworks as needed.
    • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications.
    • Implement BI solutions using Tableau, SAS, Power BI, and Databricks; knowledge of Epic is considered advantageous.
    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within all BI platforms.
    • Provide troubleshooting, support, and training to users on BI tools and systems.
    • Continuously assess and improve existing BI and data analytics frameworks to enhance performance and functionality.
    • Document BI system architecture, solutions, and processes in accordance with best practices.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a BI Engineer or Architect, with a strong background in designing and deploying BI tools and systems.
    • In-depth knowledge of Tableau, SAS, Power BI, and Databricks. Experience with Epic systems is highly desirable.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize data flows and architecture for BI tools.
    • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with other programming languages used in data analytics.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the greater Sacramento area.
    • Availability to work on-site two days per week as part of a hybrid working arrangement.
