job summary:
Manufacturer south of Kansas City is seeking a Quality Engineer to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of Quality experience in manufacturing and experience with PPAP. Previous plastic injection molding experience a plus. Degree preferred but not required. Will relocate for the right candidate.

responsibilities:

Work to ensure product quality through proactive means and apply corrective action for positive future results

Verify that production meets quality standards

Maintain inspection instructions and incoming receiving records of components

Investigate production inefficiencies and verify the resolution of quality issues

Establish visual acceptance criteria

Oversee and direct nonconforming material, including rework and containment actions on all customer rejections

Train and direct quality inspectors, including implementing correct measurement techniques

Complete and distribute certificates of conformance

Contribute to the corrective action investigations/resolutions through containment actions and quality

inspector updates Requirements:

Bachelor's degree preferred but will consider solid experience without degree

Previous manufacturing experience

Experience with PPAP

Ability to work with tight deadlines

Ability to use gauges, calipers, and micrometers

Experience with plastic injection molding preferred
