BRF maintains its headquarters and a manufacturing facility in Macedon, New York; with a Culinary Innovation Center in Westmont, Illinois; and offices and manufacturing facilities in Williamson, New York; Pennsauken, New Jersey; and Corona, California.

This role is at our Macedon, NY headquarters with the option of being hybrid.


WHAT WE NEED
The IIoT Engineer is an energetic, entrepreneurial technical specialist interested in being part of a growing digital transformation program.

You will work cross-functionally within the organization to ensure that accurate data is reliably available from the shop floor and supply chain to enable optimal real-time decisions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Partner with all business functions at BRF to develop and commercialize data driven applications that bring new value to the business.

You will engage with all business verticals with a primary focus on manufacturing and supply chain management.


Day to day activities include:

Collaborating with business stakeholders to build credible business cases for new IoT related applications, and ultimately be accountable for the value creation of these applications.

Leading the development and commercialization of these applications, requiring active engagement in technical development, program management, and communication to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Working with a variety of external solution providers, including commercial vendors, to ensure the most cost-effective and robust solutions are deployed in our operations.

This includes solution evaluation, scoping and supporting the procurement process.

Continuous learning of best practices through participation in training, conferences, and related activities, and defining the application of these with BRF.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences with a concentration on Automation applications and the associated data collection and analysis
Emphasis on Electrical / Controls Engineering preferred
Two (2) plus years of applicable experience
Exposure to machine Learning and Artificial intelligence application development
Experience in PLC programming, preferably Allen-Bradley
Data communication protocols and platforms including OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, and similar standards. Experience with the Ignition platform is a plus
Visualization and analysis in modern business intelligence platforms such as Power BI
Network / Communications troubleshooting
Computer programming ability, preferably in Python
Demonstrated experience with industrial manufacturing organizations preferred
Experience using the Ignition MES platform preferred
Sensor identification and installation preferred

At BRF, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $100,000 and $120,000K. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
