R&D Systems Engineer - W87-1 Flight Test Team, Onsite - Albuquerque

We are seeking an R&D Systems Engineer to join our team supporting system level integration assembly and testing of W87-1 Flight Test Vehicles at Sandia National Laboratories California SNL CA as well as support W87-1 FTV integration with the USAFs Sentinel Missile and range assets In this role you will support the W87-1 Systems Environmental Flight Test Unit EFTU and W87-1 Systems Developmental Joint Test Assembly 10 DJTA10 USAF integration ground testing and flight testing Qualifications
A bachelor¿s degree in a relevant discipline and five years of directly relevant experience or an equivalent combination of directly relevant education and engineering or scientific experience that demonstrates knowledge skills and ability to perform independent research development Ability to obtain maintain DOE Q clearance The ideal candidate will have additional qualifications such as Graduate degree in Engineering highly related field where an independent research project was graduation requirement Experience working with Nuclear Security Enterprise NSE laboratories plants including Pantex Kansas City National Security Campus KCNSC Lawrence Livermore Laboratory LLNL Kansas City National Security Campus New Mexico Operations KCNSC NMO Experience contributing within NW Systems Engineering Telemetry TM team on LEP Mod Futures Stockpile System DoW modernization program Strong background aerospace systems engineering demonstrated experience system testing integration troubleshooting Requirements Management Verification expertise bench lab flight vehicle instrumentation data collection processing analysis Academic job experiences engineering design qualification production modeling simulation projects Basic understanding software programming instrumentation About Our Team The W87-1 System team responsible designing qualifying W87 warhead working Sentinel Missile System Project Officer SPO integrating warhead missile We collaborate closely LLNL Design Agencies program Posting Duration This posting open application submissions minimum seven calendar days including posting date Sandia reserves right extend posting date any time
