    Sr. Director, Creative Synch

    Your primary mission is to lead client outreach for BMG's dynamic creative synch team, which places music in film, TV, advertising and other visual media, focusing on BMG's global repertoire and current releases. Your role is crucial in ensuring the team's success by efficiently managing a range of responsibilities, both internally and externally, across domestic and international domains. The success in this role depends on a well-established network of contacts in the music licensing, creative synch, and visual media communities; the ability to create and grow new business; strong communication and organizational skills; and confidence in working closely with artists, writers, managers, and internal teams. Leveraging your knowledge of and network in the synch market, you will create licensing opportunities, assess repertoire, locate missing assets or information, and maintain effective and diplomatic communication with all stakeholders.

    What You'll Be Doing.

    • Exhibiting thorough knowledge of releases and imperative information for BMG's recorded and published roster and catalogue assets and initiatives.
    • Attending label and publishing meetings (e.g. update meetings and international recorded update calls) and supporting the recorded team when signing new artist clients.
    • Liaising with US and international recorded team to generate timelines and one-sheets for the synch team.
    • Clearly communicating priorities and expectations to the entire synch team.
    • Contributing creatively to the recorded and publishing repertoire (e.g., coordination of picking synch focus tracks and sourcing of publishing, marketing campaign and other relevant information).
    • Sourcing of audio assets such as instrumentals and TV versions.
    • Initiating the creation of synch versions in collaboration with synch team and managing the recorded music budget for creating synch remixes and edits.
    • Monitoring ongoing media projects in production for potential music placement opportunities.
    • Attending internal/external meetings and potential signings as needed and circulating summary notes afterwards.
    • Regularly updating the recorded team and artist clients/management on synch activity, depending on individual requirements.
    • Accompanying synch team members to external client meetings to represent recorded repertoire.

    Must Haves.

    • Extensive experience in the music business with a focus on synch licensing, preferably with a publisher, label, management, or agency.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Thorough understanding of recording and publishing rights.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of current music trends across various media platforms.
    • Exceptional follow-up and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Aptitude for operating effectively in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
    • Outstanding organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.

    • A Bachelor's degree in music business or other relevant field.
    • Experience working in an international environment.
    • Knowledge and experience with a CRM.

    Pay Range

    $100,000 – 135,000 per annum

    The pay range listed above is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits.
