    Position Summary

    The Field Engineer, under direct supervision, assists in all aspects of project management including, estimating, coordination of cost control, scheduling, reporting and document control activities.

    Responsibilities
    Can identify basic safety issues onsite and can notify superintendent of infractions.

    May need to assist in corrective action as needed.
    Can assist Superintendent in maintaining a Daily Reports and other necessary logs for progress reporting.
    Can assist superintendent in managing weekly manpower and manage electronic payroll input.
    Able to review contract documents, drawings and specification.
    Can assist superintendent with reviewing and enforcing subcontractor scope documents.
    Can assist superintendent with managing conflict resolution between different trades.
    Can review issues with design team, as directed by Superintendent.
    Assist Superintendent in ensuring high-quality installation in field.
    Maintains a higher level of computer skills.
    Able to write email communications and letters.
    Can store files both on the computer and on remote locations.

    Capable of creating basic Word and Excel documents, including the use of company templates/letterheads to produce documents for distribution both internally and externally.

    Capable of utilizing drawing markup software (i.e., Bluebeam, Goodreader, Sketchup, etc.
    Use Company's project management software, Procore, for tracking of information.
    When used on project, proficiently manage BIM software
    Can create short-term (3-week) look-ahead schedules.
    Can identify safety issues onsite and direct field forces on how to correct issue.
    Can perform a safety audit on your own project.
    Ensures that jobsite record/as-built drawings are maintained and updated regularly.
    Assist Superintendent in holding subcontractor meetings and create/distribute minutes to reflect what was discussed for record.
    Create and process submittals, RFi's and other standard forms of documentation.
    Support Superintendent with quality assurance/control in the field
    Reviews scopes created by Project Manager to ensure proper work is being installed by a subcontractor.
    Able to maintain a high level of client satisfaction with all aspects of the project to encourage repeat work.
    Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering and a minimum of 1 year of experience or equivalent.

    General knowledge of construction principles preferred.

    Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

    Must be adaptable, a self-starter and results oriented.
