Job summary
The Aircraft Sheetmetal Mechanic I maintains in good repair the sheet-metal equipment and fixtures of an establishment. Work involves most of the following: planning and laying out all types of sheet-metal maintenance work from blueprints or specifications setting up and operating various metal working machines using hand tools to cut bend form shape fit assemble install sheet-metal articles as required.Develops parts templates from prints drawings original parts to produce repair parts that are not readily available plans lays cuts forms shapes assembles complex items,
- Reads analyzes work request specifications similar data.
- Lays out template transcribes information manufactures double contour parts configuration several planes.
