Under supervision the Central Tech II processes, sterilizes equipment and instrumentation.The Tech II issues and receives supplies and equipment according to established procedures and maintains an accurate inventory to reflect a real-time status.
The Tech II is responsible for receiving and responding to all calls for product, equipment and supplies.Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they're invaluable.

Coursework/Training:
Must have successfully completed a recognized Central Service Technician course and keep Continuing Education Units (CEU) updated and on file.
Within 1 year of hire:
National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, Or
Within 1 year of hire:
National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
2 years of Experience in Central Service.
Experience in general office practices and procedures, purchasing practices, business ethics and prudent buyer concepts.
