    Job DescriptionAs an Apprentice Electrician with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll support a commercial electrical contractor on projects around the Austin, TX area to install, repair and maintain traffic lights.

    To install new street lighting, wire up and set working to appropriate specifications and to meet current electrical installation standards.

    Review blueprint and schematics to ensure the project is completed to specifications. Assist the Journeyman Electrician(s) with any materials, tools, or tasks requested. Undertake electrical testing of street lighting installations, complete and report required records. Build out control boxes for manual streetlight and automated system controls next to streetlight pole. Maintain wiring for the streetlights and perform any troubleshooting and repairs as necessary. Maintain knowledge of current electrical code and ensure all electrical systems meets standards. Follow all OSHA and safety protocol to ensure safety on the jobsite.


    Qualifications:
