- Assist with admission and discharge of new patients.
- Maintain order and neatness in patient rooms, assisting patients as needed; providing fresh water, and nourishment, serving meals, assisting with baths, etc.
- Perform various procedures such as a collection of specimens, recording of intake and output, giving and removing bedpans, enemas, etc.
- Assist with oral hygiene and hair care, etc., when the patient is unable to do so.
- Obtain and document patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, weight, respiration, pulse, intake, and output.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient data.
