    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Verify employees' hours worked in the time and attendance system for assigned Divisions
    • Review time sheets submitted by supervisors for accuracy. Identify errors and make appropriate corrections
    • Work with supervisors to rectify their employee's chronic time sheet errors
    • Compile and enter payroll data in the payroll system
    • Assist the payroll team in handling employee's concerns and/or questions regarding discrepancies with paychecks
    • Assist employees in understanding payroll calculations and deductions
    • Maintain payroll records and reports, compiling as required, statistical and accounting information
    • Process garnishment requests
    • Work with Human Resources to provide income, sick time and vacation accruals for claims and income verification
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of union contracts; accurately maintain union dues in the payroll system
    • Support auditing process by furnishing time sheets and other requested payroll documentation
    • Required to work in multiple payroll systems

    Profile

    COMPETENCIES

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum one years payroll processing experience
    • Working knowledge of Sandata, Paypro, and Paycom payroll systems preferred
    • Excel skill required, with experience in using pivot tables and VLOOKUP's
    • Bilingual: Spanish and English
    • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to adapt to pressure, work independently, proficiently, efficiently and must be able to meet deadlines
    • Detail oriented
    • Ability to successfully manage multiple relationships
