    Description Do you want to make critical contributions to how the US Navy performs Offensive Surface Warfare (OSuW)? Are you excited to understand how some of the world 's most advanced military defense systems operate? If so, we are looking for someone like you to join our team at APL.

    We are seeking a senior systems engineer and specialist in system-of-systems (SoS) integration to support design and T&E (testing and evaluation) of combat systems on surface combatants.

    Through continuous learning opportunities and access to world-renowned experts, we will help you become a subject matter expert in addressing integration challenges between combat systems, hypersonic weapons systems, standard missiles, and sophisticated radar systems.

    You will be joining a team passionate about continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration, with opportunity to take on a leadership role in solving challenges of national importance by fielding and improving the next generation of combat systems for the fleet.

    Attention to detail, innovative thinking, and some understanding of surface warfare and strike warfare are desirable.

    As a Senior Weapon System Integrator, you will:
    Solve complex systems-of-systems integration problems for the U.S.

    Navy's ground breaking programs including Zumwalt, AEGIS, and Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) in a high tempo, quickly advancing environment.

    Become an authority on the command and control (C2) element as it applies to the surface warfare domain, understanding data flows, logical implementation, and interfaces that enable new kill-chains.

    Generate systems engineering products such as performance specifications, requirements, trade study reports, CONOPS, test and evaluation management plans, test plans and procedures, test schedules, and data collection plans to support both lab-based and shipboard live fire testing.

    Prepare for and participate in technical interchange meetings, providing technical insight to contractor, government agency, and research laboratory participants. Collaborate with multi-agency partners to develop, review, and validate robustness of new processes and logic for combat systems capabilities. Serve as a technical trusted agent to government sponsors, providing technical input to acquisition decisions. Qualifications You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you Have a B.S.

    in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Math or equivalent technical field Have 10 years of experience in Systems Engineering Have 5 years of experience in complex SoS engineering and integration, developing requirements, specifications, or interface documentation.

    Have 2 years of experience in successfully leading a team of engineers.

    Are able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing Are willing and able to travel up to 20% of the time, as needed.

    Have the ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance and ultimately a Secret clearance.

    Applicant selected will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information.

    in Engineering or a related technical field Have 10 years of relevant experience in Systems Engineering and are an proficient with best practices in Model Based Systems Engineering Have experience working in the Precision Strike domain, are familiar with Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM), Tomahawk Strike Network (TSN), Mission Planning, or hypersonic weapon systems Have experience with Link-16, Common Data Link (CDL), Tactical Targeting Network Terminal (TTNT), Net Enable Weapon (NEW), or Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) Have experience with surface combat systems and end-to-end weapon engagement, weapon support Demonstrate superior initiative, energy, and organizational skills Have an active Top Secret or above security clearance.
