    Description

    ENGINEERING DESIGNER

    We are looking for an Engineering Designer to join our team and be responsible for preparing detailed drawings, Engineering Orders, and specifications to ensure the production of products complying with Federal Aviation Administration standards. If you have a passion for precision and aviation, this role might be perfect for you!

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Model conceptual layouts and proposed design changes using Unigraphics NX (CAD)
    • Modify existing drawings (CAD and manual) to correct errors and implement new designs
    • Create new CAD drawings with Unigraphics NX
    • Construct and manage design packages with Teamcenter
    • Utilize best practices to design detail parts and assemblies, primarily sheet metal, focusing on cost-effectiveness and ease of installation
    • Select appropriate standard hardware, opting for stocked items when feasible or sourcing specialty hardware when necessary
    • Collaborate with various departments to meet project milestones and adhere to schedules
    • Contribute to projects across multiple aircraft areas, such as wings, fuselage, interiors, and landing gear
    • Provide support to manufacturing and testing during product enhancements
    • Conduct research on parts and structures lacking CAD models
    • Lead design review sessions to ensure cross-functional coordination
    • Manage projects including scope creation, progress tracking, and completion estimations
    • Perform other related duties as assigned

    REQUIREMENTS:

    To excel in this role, you should have:

    • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology, preferably in mechanical or aerospace fields
    • At least five years of experience in general aviation related to airframe, mechanical drafting, or design
    • Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft design, testing, manufacturing, and certification processes, along with familiarity with Unigraphics CAD and FAR 23 regulations

    COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

    Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for interacting with internal and external stakeholders. The ability to effectively handle personnel matters and demonstrate management capabilities is crucial for success in this position.
