- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks across various platforms, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Implement and/or coordinate with MSP to manage system updates, backups, and patches.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, providing timely and effective solutions. May require coordinating with various MSP's.
- Enhance system security measures, ensuring data protection and network access control.
- Manage user accounts and permissions, following best practices for data security.
- Document system performance, including incident reports and resolutions.
- Participate in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
- Lead/participate in IT projects, including system installations, upgrades, and migrations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, macOS), networking technologies, and hardware configurations.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, barracuda, etc).
- Solid understanding of security principles and practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are highly desirable.
- Full-time position with occasional after-hours support for system maintenance and emergency issues.
- Primarily office-based with the possibility of remote work, depending on project requirements and operational needs.
