    Description

    Position Summary:

    We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. This role requires a professional with a deep understanding of computer systems, a keen eye for troubleshooting, and a passion for technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing our software, hardware, and networks, ensuring our technology infrastructure performs optimally and securely.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks across various platforms, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Implement and/or coordinate with MSP to manage system updates, backups, and patches.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, providing timely and effective solutions. May require coordinating with various MSP's.
  • Enhance system security measures, ensuring data protection and network access control.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions, following best practices for data security.
  • Document system performance, including incident reports and resolutions.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
  • Lead/participate in IT projects, including system installations, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, macOS), networking technologies, and hardware configurations.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, barracuda, etc).
  • Solid understanding of security principles and practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are highly desirable.
  • Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with occasional after-hours support for system maintenance and emergency issues.
  • Primarily office-based with the possibility of remote work, depending on project requirements and operational needs.
