    Join Our Team as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Mood and Psychosis Research Program!



    The Mood and Psychosis Research Program, under the leadership of Dr. Katherine Burdick, is seeking a dedicated clinical research coordinator intrigued by cognition in major psychiatric disorders. This exciting role involves identifying cognitive deficits in psychiatric disorders, exploring their causes, and addressing them directly with treatment. Our studies focus on neurocognition, social cognition, and their impact on daily functioning in patients with bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder. By analyzing various factors such as sleep quality, childhood trauma, inflammatory markers, and genetics, we aim to understand the diverse outcomes observed in these disorders.

    As a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Department of Psychiatry at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, you will work closely with the Senior Program Manager and Principal Investigator, contributing to multiple projects and studies. Your responsibilities will include administering neurocognitive tests, clinical ratings, patient interactions, data management, and potentially, presenting at scientific conferences and co-authoring publications.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide support for clinical research studies following established guidelines.
    • Recruit and assess potential study participants, conduct interviews, and liaise between patients and physicians.
    • Collect and manage patient data for studies, maintain databases, and handle recordkeeping.
    • Handle patient inquiries, manage study equipment, inventory, and supplies.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Requirements: A bachelor's degree in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or related fields. Preference for candidates with clinical experience in bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder.
