    Job Description

    Maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, storage arrays, backups, and VMware virtualization technologies
    Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers and respond to the technical needs of the business.
    Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
    Responsible for Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, and Intune
    Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
    Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
    Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
    Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and systems performance
    Work with IT Leadership to develop financial plans and budgets based on alignment with technological innovation and industry-standard advancement

    Qualifications

    Associate or BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
    System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other related fields
    Strong knowledge of systems and hardware, networking software and protocols
    Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and Kubernetes
    Experience with VMware, hypervisor servers, storage arrays, wireless access points, and standard data center networking equipment
    Proficient in Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Intune, DNS, and related applications
    A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
    Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
    Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills
    4-6 years of network administration, system administration, and virtualization experience
