    Summary

    We are looking for a fully remote early career Software Engineer to join our growing organization. In this position, you will contribute to the creation and maintenance of an analytics solution that will provide meaningful, data-driven insights to internal and external stakeholders. Using a variety of cloud-based tools, you will build robust data pipelines that feed into a data warehouse from multiple sources, creating the foundation for rich visualizations and dashboards. Additionally, you will develop and maintain robust cloud infrastructure to support the environment. Keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and an interest in data and analytics are essential.

    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
    • Experience with a data focused language such as SQL, PL/SQL, etc
    • Familiarity with database design principles
    • Understanding of the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) process
    • Experience with a data visualization platform such as Tableau or AWS QuickSight, or some other similar tool
    • Experience with a general purpose programming language. We use Golang, TypeScript, and Python primarily, but we don't require experience with a specific one
    • Experience with scripting languages like Bash
    • Experience with version control, especially Git
    • Ability to work fully remote within the continental USA while located within the Eastern or Central time zone (Excluding New York)
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident
    Desired Qualifications
    • Experience with Amazon Redshift and/or PostgreSQL
    • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Pulumi and/or AWS CloudFormation
    • AWS experience and/or certifications
    • Experience with Linux and/or Windows environments
    • Experience working in an Agile development environment

    Essential Job Functions

    • Maintain and evolve our data analytics environment in AWS GovCloud
    • Work collaboratively with other engineering teams and stakeholders to design and implement data transformations and visualizations
    • Contribute to a data warehousing solution that collects and aggregates data from a variety of sources
    • Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and all sprint ceremonies (standup, sprint review, retrospective, grooming)
    • Participate in on-call incident resolution schedule rotation
