The Customer Service Specialist is essential to the success of our Automotive branches. The Customer Service Specialist works closely with our customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our Automotive Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the right solutions. The Customer Service Specialist is also expected to promptly resolve customer concerns and ensure maximum client satisfaction. The Customer Service Specialist is also responsible for receiving and preparing orders and safely moving, loading, and delivering products.   The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Automotive Branch #9325 located at 5137 MacCorkle Avenue SW, South Charleston, WV This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm based on business needs and subject to change.   Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. • Prepare orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule in a safe and timely manner (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
• Load and unload products from deliveries
• Operate all material handling, tinting, mixing and testing equipment in a safe manner
• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, hand trucks/pallet jacks, carts, etc.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
• Process sales transactions in the POS accurately and consistently with policies and procedures
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Ensure that the stockroom is organized
• Comply with inventory control procedures and assist with bi-annual inventory review
• Complete Monthly and Quarterly Safety Training
• Assist with the Physical Inventory Process, which is conducted semi-annually
• Assist in promoting sales specials and initiatives
• *Based on business needs, keyholder responsibilities include completing Branch Opening and end-of-day procedures and making nightly bank deposits

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must have at least one (1) year of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have at least one (1) year of work experience in a Sherwin-Williams Automotive Branch, or in automotive Industry
• Have at least two (2) years of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales
• Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example, forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacuum hoists, drum dollies, conveyor belts, etc.)
• Have at least a High School diploma or GED
