Role: Senior Network Engineer

Job Description:

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for client's network infrastructure.
• Resolve incidents directly with end users and record detailed actions in ticketing tool
• Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to ensure the network stays operational
• Escalate issues to next level of support if unable to resolve in a timely manner
• Ensure all aspects of the entire enterprise cloud networks are architecturally sound and highly available
• Research existing and emerging technologies that align with business requirements and provide effective solutions based upon extensive professional experience, industry best practices, knowledge of industry technologies through formal training and/or self-study
• Install and implement network hardware components and cables in data centers and corporate offices
• Perform approved network changes according to procedures with minimal business disruption
• Understand and perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs and patches
• Develop and maintain accurate network support documentation in a knowledge repository
• Perform network performance monitoring, trending and capacity planning for the LAN, WLAN, MAN and WAN.

"MUST HAVE" SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Understanding of connectivity of data-center endpoints such as compute and storage devices.
• Understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud networking and infrastructure best practices.
• Understanding of network security best practices.
• Understanding of migration requirements from physical data centers to the Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
• Understanding of network traffic flow between on prem and cloud environments.
• Critical analysis of network design for optimal network traffic flow.
• Expert knowledge and understanding of common network protocols.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting and supporting firewall configurations.
• Skilled in hybrid networking environments – connecting on-perm to cloud networks (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP).
• Experience with Integration (Data center, O365, Oracle, SAP), Services, and Business Process Management for global solutions.
• Good understanding of infra-department functions and operations.
• Understanding of common information architecture frameworks and information models.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills and ability to work on cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work both independent of immediate supervision and in a team environment.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
