    Position Summary
    This position will provide accounting support to the operations of the business as well as financial management.

    This individual will be involved with projects within the financial management areas as well as providing financial support with the monthly and annual issuing of financial statements.

    This person may assist with projects to further automate and improve the Company's accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
    Primary Roles and Responsibilities

    Record and review postings within the G/L, ensuring accuracy of inputs and supporting calculations as well as adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

    Reconcile G/L accounts at month-end, focusing on ensuring sufficient evidence exists to justify account balances.
    Assist with planning, executing, and reporting on the status of ad hoc projects to improve systems and procedures.
    Focus on continuous improvement of workpapers and processes with an emphasis on reducing inefficiencies and increasing accuracy.
    Participate in the annual Physical Inventory or Cycle Counting process.
    Assist with the annual audit by external public accounting firm.
    Requirements
    Experience and Education
    BS in Accounting
    Minimum of 3 years related work experience in industry or public accounting.
    Pursuit of CPA, CMA, or MBA a plus
    Manufacturing or public accounting experience preferred, but not required.
    Demonstrate a focus on continuous improvement and process excellence.
    Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
    Proficient in MS Excel including Pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.
    Working knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
    Knowledge of Oracle Hyperion Planning or another multi-dimensional database a plus
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Ability to maintain confidential information.
    Ability to meet tight deadlines effectively and efficiently.
    Ability to work well both independently and on a team.
    Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
    Ability to think critically and reason on your own.
    Potential for travel to offsite locations driven by physical inventories or costing projects.
