    Job Description

    Daily Responsibilities will include:

    Working directly with our vendors to negotiate the best possible pricing and lead time for material.

    Communicating and working closely with our Sales, Engineering, Shipping and Production groups regarding all material related questions and needs.

    Hands on focus in our raw material warehouse and hardware packaging area requiring the ability to operate a forklift and handle raw materials.

    Maintaining accurate inventory for our 1,000+ stock items and developing new and innovative ways to manage new and existing inventory items.

    Manage material going to and coming from our offsite warehouse.

    Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate material related issues and concerns.

    Review stock levels for purchased and made in house inventory items to always ensure everyday stock items are available for customer needs.

    Maintain existing metrics and develop new metrics for material related tracking.

    Create purchase orders and manage physical inventory and material issuing with our sub-contractors.

    Maintain focus on our 6S standards set forth for the department and company.

    The role includes working in the office as well as in the plant. The candidate needs to have good computer skills, great communication, the ability to multitask, and problem-solving skills. The role does require the employee to be able to learn to operate a forklift.

    The role also requires the following:

    • Review system reports and create purchase orders.
    • Communicate with vendors.
    • Inventory cycle counting.
    • Issue material out of our system.
    • Tracking material coming from and going to our offsite warehouse.
