Planned Parenthood Northern California (PPNorCal) is seeking two Advanced Practice Clinician for our Chico Health Center. Each position is full-time, 32 hours per week.PPNorCal provides a comprehensive benefits package including 100% employer paid medical insurance for the employee, 50% employer paid medical insurance for dependent children, dental and vision coverage, employer paid life and long-term disability insurance, 15 days of paid time off to start, 10 paid holidays, and a 403(b) retirement plan with up to 4% employer match after 12 months of service.

The Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Certified Nurse Midwife, and other licensed providers) will function as part of a healthcare team to provide care under the medical supervision of the Medical Director in accordance with PPFA and PPNorCal Medical Standards and Guidelines and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
HEALTH CENTER
Work in the health center providing comprehensive clinical sexual and reproductive health care services to all patients in accordance with evidence-based practice protocols.
Obtain a basic health history and comprehensive gynecological (GYN) history.Perform a general physical exam, breast exam, GYN exam, and male genitourinary exam.
Recognize common breast and GYN deviations from normal and provide management or referral as appropriate.
Recognize common non-GYN deviations from normal and provide management or referral as appropriate.
Obtain and interpret laboratory tests and results related to GYN visits.
Perform and interpret transvaginal and abdominal ultrasounds.
Provide PrEP and nPEP to prevent HIV infection.
Provide care across the reproductive health lifespan, including basic infertility services and menopause management.
Assess and manage complications from in-clinic abortion, medication abortion, and vasectomy. Depending on location may support in-clinic abortion clinic.
Provide patient with general reproductive health maintenance, education, and counseling.
Ensure complete and accurate medical documentation in EHR application and bill and code patient visits appropriately.
Function as a medical resource for health center staff.
Participate in health center efforts to achieve established goals for productivity, with the minimum goal of 3.0 encounters per hour.
Participate in research studies conducted in the health center.Exercise a commitment diversity, equity, and inclusion in all interactions with patients and staff.
Participate in and model the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives of PPNorCal.
Will perform work regularly as a Clinician in a health center providing face-to-face care.
Manage all existing PPNorCal medical follow-up for assigned patients.
Review all incoming medical record for new and existing patients.
Triage incoming medical calls and respond appropriately.
Participate in follow-up of clinical Quality Assurance activities.
Serve as a medical resource for PPNorCal staff.
However, APCs are responsible for the medical oversight and instruction of the Reproductive Health Specialists and other medical support staff.

PROTECTED HEALTH INFORMATION (PHI) ACCESS REQUIREMENT
As required for patient treatment and health care operations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Entry-level to three years of experience in sexual and reproductive health care.
Direct patient care experience, preferably in women's health/reproductive health care. Experience in reproductive health, OB/GYN, primary care, or community health care preferred. Telehealth, MRD, After-Hours, Pre-Natal, etc.
Common sense and a commitment to excellent customer service and quality health care.
Commitment to working with low-income and culturally diverse patients with an emphasis on health equity and empowerment.
Treat complaints as opportunities to improve service.
Ability to understand and demonstrate, in all interactions, the importance of high-quality care including accurate documentation and follow-up.
Ability to follow affiliate-wide protocols, policies, and procedures, center-specific policies and procedures and PPNorCal's Honorable Standards.
Ability to be flexible and available to extend/change scheduled hours or location as needed to meet needs of the health center and patients.
Willingness to work some evenings and a minimum of/at least one Saturday per month based on Health Center operating hours required.
Willingness to precept students or train new clinicians as appropriate.Provide feedback to colleagues, staff, and managers in a professional, respectful, direct, and timely manner. Treat staff and patients with courtesy and respect at all times under all circumstances
