    Role Summary

    The Director, Finance-Project Management will be a key player in Verano's growing Finance organization. This position is instrumental in implementing and managing enterprise systems to facilitate the company's profitable growth. The role will support the development and implementation of SAP across all business areas.

Success will require you to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of specialized business needs and extensive experience in managing the integration of SAP processes and cross-functional teams. This knowledge must translate into the ability to communicate to the users how to properly leverage the solutions. This is an end-to-end role in that it is responsible for portfolio project planning and execution, prioritization and resolution of user support tickets, and driving the new continuous improvement program. This role will report directly to the CFO.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Primary system supported is SAP
    • Partner with key functions to align Finance and IT strategy and initiatives in support of business strategy and goals.
    • Assess business needs via business process analysis, collaboration, and observation across all business functions, including (but not limited to) Finance, Retail, Operations, Sales, and Marketing.
    • Lead internal Verano team in SAP projects and implementations, plus ongoing user support and continuous improvement delivery.
    • Identify any gaps in standard processes to meet Verano's needs and assess appropriate solutions - including (but not limited to) interfacing with other software platforms and/or designing custom programs.
    • Facilitate training and support to end users, ensuring business continuity and operational efficiencies.
    • Collaborate with software, services, support partners, and technicians to deliver technical solutions and resolve issues.
    • Champion the adoption and use of standardized ways of working and documentation.
    • Keep informed of the latest enterprise systems updates, developments, and offerings.
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, finance or a related field.
    • 10+ years of experience implementing and managing SAP solutions.
    • 2+ years of people management experience.
    • In-depth knowledge of financial business processes and their integration with SAP systems.
    • Experience managing technology teams and organizing people and activities.
    • In-depth Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO) knowledge is required. Experience in Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), Sales and distribution (SD), and/or Plant Maintenance (PM) is desirable.
    • Experience with third-party financial systems, such as travel and expense management, month-end close automation, SEC reporting, and FP&A, is desirable.
    • Oversight of and collaboration with implementation partner consultants and/or application-managed services resources is required.
    • Ability to think strategically, execute tactically, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations.
    • Pronounced bias to action and a sense of urgency; able to quickly form, communicate, and defend a point of view.
    • Resourceful and ability to demonstrate accomplishments using small teams.
    • Estimated 25% US travel
