We have openings on our team for Machine Operator I- Grinding at Unisteel in Sterling Heights, MI.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate assigned machines; Operates manual semi-automatic and automatic equipment according to established procedures and processes to accurately finish material (steel or aluminum stock) to customer specification;
- Sets controls for speed and feed rate. Ensures that the metal is shaped or finished properly adjusting the speed of the machine during shaping if needed.
- Loads and unloads material with aid of a forklift magnets chains slings or an overhead crane positioning material as required.
- Maintains necessary lubricant coolant concentration cleaning or replacing coolant as required.
- Inspect quality of material during after procedure being performed to material.
