    ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa.

    Job Details:


    • 16 guaranteed hours per week

    • Work in 16 operating rooms with average of 35-50 cases per day

    • Expectation for turnovers is less than 20 minutes

    • Both scrubbing and circulating experience required

    • Must have open heart scrubbing experience

    • Patient ratio: 1:1

    • On-call schedule: up to 2 overnight per week and 4 weekends per 13 week contract

    • Weekend call schedule runs from Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 6:30 AM

    • Required to float across all campuses (Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran)

    • Must have 2+ years of current operating room experience

    • Strong proficiency required in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures

    • Basic general surgery circulating experience required

    • EPIC electronic medical systems experience within previous 3 years required

    • Trauma Level I or II experience highly preferred

    • Must have completed a travel assignment within previous 12 months

    • Experience preferred in daVinci robotics, pediatrics, trauma, neurology, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, ENT, and vascular procedures

    • Scrubs provided

    • Work with 3 DaVinci robots, Stealth technology for neuro navigation, and primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma

    • Required certifications: BLS (AHA)

    • Iowa nursing license required

    Facility:

    This healthcare organization operates as a Level I trauma center with comprehensive surgical services including cardiac/PV, neurology, orthopedics, robotics, gynecology, urology, general surgery, pediatrics, and transplants. The facility maintains 16 operating rooms running 12-14 routinely and reserves space specifically for trauma cases. The organization utilizes advanced technology including robotic surgical systems and state-of-the-art navigation equipment to provide high-quality patient care across multiple service lines.
