The University of Louisiana at Lafayette New Iberia Research Center specializes in breeding nonhuman primate species offering diagnostic laboratory human resources for applied basic research promoting human quality of life we operate diversified animal housing systems including indoor outdoor cages for small nonhuman primates large family groups outdoor corncrib minicrib combinations for housing macaque Cercopithecine species indoor single housing units all nonhuman primate species.
We're looking for Trades Apprentice join our team This entry level position plays vital role supporting skilled trades staff assisting with repairs maintenance construction projects while gaining on the job experience chosen trade.
- Assist journeyman level trades personnel such as electricians carpenters plumbers HVAC etc maintenance repair tasks
- Perform basic manual labor routine maintenance under supervision
- Learn develop skills specific trade structured on the job training
- Use hand tools equipment safety procedures instructed Maintain tools work areas clean safe condition Assist transporting materials tools equipment work sites Follow instructions ensure safety quality work Work progression higher level skilled trade positions.
