    Purpose

    To facilitate academic success and coordinate programming for the University Leadership Network, focusing on Second-yearlevel college-students within The Office of Student Success.

    Responsibilities

    • Effectively communicate and advise students for an assigned cohort to ensure they are on track to graduate in four years and are developing marketable skills. Provide challenging and supporting advising to students during group and one on one meetings. Collaborate with students and academic advisors, financial aid counselors, and other colleagues across campus to address student issues.
    • Develop programming for assigned cohort. Facilitate assigned cohort monthly meetings. Coordinate with director and ULN team to ensure program consistency. Collaborate with Assistant Director to coordinate all aspects of assigned cohort-oriented events and communications as needed to create a comprehensive second-year experience.
    • Assist in the Coordination of Experiential Learning opportunities for ULN students.This includes undergraduate research, internships, part time jobs and other opportunities for students to develop marketable skills.
    • Track Year assigned cohort student program requirements related to ULN scholarship disbursement. Follow up with students who are not meeting program requirements in a timely manner. Utilize databases and technology to track program requirements and student progress toward degree. Provide ULN Assistant Director and Director with cohort data regularly.
    • Serve as an active, positive and engaged member of the OSS staff, provide management assistance to the Director as assigned, develop and manage assigned office procedures, paperwork, and ensure data integrity.

    Required Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree and experience working with college students. Three years' experience coordinating or administering a program.Candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).Must be organized, detail-oriented, and student-focused. Ability and willingness to work as a supportive team member and independently.Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete work within required time periods in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated initiative and follow-through skills; tact; diplomacy and judgement in work with students, families, faculty, and administrators; punctuality and professional demeanor.Customer service experience.Demonstrated Excel proficiency.Willing to work evening and weekend events as required.

    Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Master's degree and experience working with college students.Familiarity with UT departments and campus programs. One to three years of experience coordinating and developing student programs. Previous advising experience.Previous experience developing experiential learning opportunities. Proficiency in Spanish. Experience organizing and implementing large events. Experience creating and facilitating training for undergraduates or professionals. Demonstrated knowledge of student and career development theories and academic advising approaches. Proficiency in Canvas.

    Salary Range

    $48,000+ depending on qualifications
