    Electric Actuator Applications Engineer

    Location: Houston Texas (Onsite)

    We are adding an Applications Engineer focused on Electric Actuation and Controls in our Houston, TX location. As a member of the Applications Engineering team you will provide technical support for all aspects of our Electric Actuator product line by performing the following duties.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide internal and external customers with technical support and solutions related to product applications, electric actuator sizing/selection and materials of construction.
    • Work closely with the applications engineering team and product management to cross-train and develop our products, team members and customers.
    • Regarded as an applications consultant and electrical actuator authority by both external and internal customers.
    • Provide technical information relating to product performance parameters to both internal and external customers.
    • Interfaces with others in the organization and customers to jointly determine customer needs and solutions.
    • Review customer specifications for quotations and orders as necessary.
    • Manage and supply technical data sheets, wiring diagrams, submittals, schematics and other related product information.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelors degree (B.A.), BSEE or equivalent. Electrical/Electronics Engineering degree strongly preferred.
    • Working knowledge of Electric Actuators, associated controls and communication protocols strongly desired.
    • 3-5 years experience in actuation and controls, specifically electric actuation.
    • Knowledge of actuator materials is desirable.
    • Familiar with industry standards and codes, including NEC, UL, IEC, ISO.
    • Basic 3D Modeling and CAD experience is a PLUS or the ability to learn basic SolidWorks is a requirement.
    • Experience with electrical schematics and electronic logic
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of programs.
