Job description
Physical DemandsWork is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree required.
The candidate must have 2 years of experience working in a financial aid office answering phone calls, meeting with students and assisting with inquiries from the campus community as well as fellow staff members.
Knowledge of Title IV Funds regulations and procedures required.Knowledge of an automated data processing system and one year experience in customer service with experience in a financial aid office required.
This candidate must exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
The candidate must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and counseling skills.Due to the nature of the data related to a student's academic record, attention to detail when reviewing and entering data is extremely important.
It is also critical to the office that the candidate is a self-starter, possesses the ability to work autonomously as well as the ability to work in and promote a team environment.
The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to interpret and communicate information based on knowledge of institutional policies, procedures and departmental considerations.
