    Piedmont Ear, Nose & Throat Associates (PENTA) is the premier otolaryngology group in the Triad, North Carolina area. They are searching for an accomplished Audiology Director to supervise the audiology staff, ensure the smooth operation of the audiology department, and assist in maintaining quality control over the patient's experience.

    The Audiology Director role is a dynamic position that involves direct patient care, student supervision, shadowing, and active participation in clinical duties while also performing necessary administrative responsibilities.

    The Audiology Director reports to the practice administrator and collaborates closely with physicians to plan and oversee departmental functions. To be considered as a candidate for this position, Audiologist candidates must possess the ability to effectively develop and confidently lead a team of Audiologists.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitoring audiology schedules and patient volume to ensure adequate coverage in all locations as well as appointment capacity.
    • Supervising audiology staff and audiologists in conjunction with the leads and physicians. Provide appropriate performance feedback.
    • Monitoring physician schedules and coordinating schedule changes with Scheduling and Clinical Managers to ensure care coordination and coverage.
    • Conducting effective and timely performance reviews of staff.
    • Leading the hiring and ensuring the training of new audiology staff.
    • Working with other managers to develop, communicate, and monitor practice procedures, policies, and guidelines.
    • Managing supply and equipment availability according to budget and office needs.
    • Attending and/or leading regularly scheduled meetings as needed.
    • Fostering a customer-centered organizational culture through professional and efficient service to staff, managers, and patients.
    • Ensuring excellent service to patients and families. Handling compliments and complaints regarding audiology staff.


    Requirements

    • Master's degree and/or Doctorate in Audiology
    • Proven ability to lead and develop staff
    • Exceptional critical thinking skills
    • Effective communication and relationship-building
    • Ability to learn and successfully use electronic medical records and other software.
