    Responsibilities


    Position Summary:
    Reporting directly to the EHS/Security Manager, the Sr. EHS&S Specialist will provide Environmental Health and Safety technical expertise for local, state and Federal regulations. Develop and implement programs to further enhance the site's Ergonomic, Accident Investigation, Emergency Response and Risk Assessments Programs. In addition, provide environmental, health, safety and security support to all levels within the organization.

    Develop and implement EHS/Security Programs, Procedures and EHS/Security Training that help drive the reduction of occupational injury and illness rates.


    Responsibilities:
    Essential Duties


    • Provides Environmental Health and Safety technical expertise for local, state and Federal regulations.
    • Develop and implement programs to further enhance the site's Ergonomic, Accident Investigation, Emergency Response, Risk Assessment and ISO certified programs.
    • Work with all levels of employees to achieve defined EHS goals, objectives and corporate performance expectations.
    • Investigate incidents or accidents and gathers and analyzes statistics.
    • Inspects and audits facilities for potential environmental or safety concerns and participates in outside regulatory inspections.
    • Prepares or provides input on reports for Exposure Monitoring, Hazardous Waste, Contingency Plan, Sara Title III, Waste Water Discharge, and Chemical Release.
    • Develops and delivers training programs educating staff on environmental concerns or health and safety risks found in the organization.
    • Ensures that training records, health/safety manuals or handbooks, incident/accident reports or other documentation are appropriately maintained.
    • Purchases and distributes personal protection equipment or other related supplies.
    • Monitors known health, safety or environmental hazards, such as noise, air or wastewater pollution levels.
    • May develop and communicate facility-specific emergency response or evacuation plans.

    Preferred experience:

    • Environmental permit management knowledge for any or all: Air (Title V/RECLAIM, Wastewater, Stormwater, Hazardous Waste).
    • Experience with ISO14001 and/or 45001.
