    Description

    Material Handler
    Location: Hamilton, OH
    Pay: $20.00/ hr
    1st shift hours (MUST TRAIN ON FIRST SHIFT) : 6:30am-2:30pm (MON-FRI / overtime possible on Saturday)
    2nd shift hours: 2pm-10pm (MON-FRI / overtime possible on Saturday)

    Job Summary:

    Ensure efficient inventory management by identifying, labeling, and organizing materials and supplies to support work stations. Maintain orderly material flow to uphold service and operational standards, adhering to ISO requirements, safety protocols, and housekeeping standards.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Locate and verify materials and supplies listed on production orders.
    • Deliver and open materials and supplies at work centers to maintain in-process inventory.
    • Complete pre-use inspections of material-handling equipment.
    • Perform weigh counts of containers as required.
    • Adhere to all safety regulations for self and others.
    • Dispose of scrap in designated containers and relocate scrap as necessary.
    • Utilize handheld scanners for product routing and receiving.
    • Operate overhead crane as needed.
    • Assist in training new employees assigned to the area.
    • Demonstrate basic computer proficiency.
    • Read tape measure accurately.
    • Familiarize with work centers, personnel, and designated areas.
    • Understand and double-check part numbers before proceeding with parts movement.
    • Operate scales properly and follow standard operating procedures for verification.
    • Load incoming and outgoing trucks accurately and document tasks accordingly.
    • Operate dock locks effectively.
    • Run and maintain the chip system.
    • Inspect containers for damage, contamination, and deterioration, repackaging as necessary.
    Required Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or GED preferred.
    • Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills required.
    • Computer knowledge and keyboard skills preferred.
    • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions effectively.
    • Basic mathematical skills for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
    • Ability to understand and execute detailed written and oral instructions.
    • Forklift operator certification required (can be acquired through training).
